I was introduced to the high-caliber Ateliers Jouffre and its founder, Charles Jouffre, many years ago in Paris and Lyon, France. His team has been the source of our successes from Grasse, France to Manhattan, to Chicago, and to many locations across North America for many years. Charles, and now Romain in Manhattan, are the source of perfection in all manner of drapery, wall upholstery, upholstered furniture, and even challenging horsehair applications to priceless antiques.> Visit website

Nestled on the west coast of Florida, along the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico, lies Naples—a city that embodies the quintessence of tropical elegance. Renowned for its paradise-like beaches with white, powder-fine sand beneath your feet, Naples is a sought-after destination for art enthusiasts, avid shoppers, and discerning gastronomes.
It is within this idyllic panorama that the Suzanne Lovell agency was entrusted with the renovation of an 800m2 penthouse for a retired couple. The penthouse includes a large reception area, a master suite, and several guest rooms, all offering breathtaking views of the ocean. While artworks are often the finishing touch of a project, Suzanne Lovell gives them a leading role as an integral part of the design. She was able to select a painting by Joan Miró from the impressive collection of the owners, ranging from impressionist paintings to modern photography by renowned artists such as Toulouse-Lautrec or Alexander Calder. She also experiments with a palette of various materials such as wood, leather, and marble, which is used here in the Venetian terrazzo flooring.
Our skilled American craftsmen played a pivotal role in the project, expertly installing wall hangings throughout the residence. Meticulously cutting, joining, and placing the precious fabrics from Pierre Frey's 'Le Manach' collection, they ensured a seamless continuity of lattice motifs. Going beyond mere wall coverings, the installation of stretched fabric emerged as a true masterpiece. Beyond providing acoustic comfort and a warm ambiance, it also accentuated the spaces, enhancing the allure of the prestigious furniture collection within the apartment : a sofa and club chairs by BDDW, upholstered fabric is custom Robert Crowder, antique chairs designed by Carlo Bugatti, and a travertine and glass cocktail table designed by Suzanne Lovell Inc.
