Révélations 2025

On the occasion of Révélations 2025, the biennale organized by Ateliers d'Art de France, we had the pleasure of unveiling a scenography in collaboration with the Collectif Par Excellence. Under the artistic direction of Tony Ingrao, the renowned American architect and designer, the exhibition presented a series of bespoke pieces specially imagined for the event,in the heart of Paris.

“It was second nature to have Jouffre be the predominant upholstery team on the project. The work was divinely neat and sharp, which was important as it needed to balance with the contemporary art and exceptional vintage furniture. Particularly, Jouffre’s work on our custom green silk velvet sofa sticks out the most. It is extremely difficult working with silk velvet, as it naturally crushes. In order for it to be done correctly, the fabric has to be handled with intensive care and precision. Perfect work by Jouffre.” - Rob Johansen, interior designer at Ingrao

For this project, Ingrao drew inspiration from the Grand Palais itself, particularly its Art Nouveau architecture— rich in organic forms and natural motifs. The scenographic concept embodies the spirit of spring: fresh, vibrant, and alive, with a sense of renewal. Ingrao’s vision evokes blooming gardens beneath soft clouds, creating an ethereal, almost celestial ambiance that harmonizes with the historic architecture while introducing a modern and dreamlike energy.

The space celebrates the very essence of French craftsmanship: innovation rooted in tradition, refined materials, forward-thinking creativity, and an obsessive attention to detail. It was designed not only as a showcase, but as a stage where artisans could fully express their mastery and push the boundaries of their techniques.

The collection features a series of custom-made pieces: a sculptural bar, a screen, a game table, a loveseat, a coffee table, and elegant flower-shaped light fixtures. Richly textured and artistically composed wall panels, blending floral imagery with atmospheric landscapes, reinforce the naturalistic theme.. Our master upholsterers crafted the bar stools, armchairs, and contemporary sofa in close collaboration with the Manufacture Royale Bonvallet (for the velvet), Ateliers Fey (for the leather), and Ateliers Lebuisson (for the embroidered beads). Our decorative upholsterers also created a bespoke art curtain combining satin, velvet, and painted elements.

Through this collaboration, Tony Ingrao and Par Excellence reaffirm the enduring vitality of French decorative arts, offering a vision both deeply rooted in heritage and boldly oriented toward the future. Each piece contributes to a coherent narrative of excellence, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.
