The New York based architect and designer has once again used his talents to design a model apartment at The Belnord, a iconic New York City landmark building.
The works are all dynamic in their own right and give the apartment a cosmopolitan vibe, and ultimately the appeal of the Upper West Side is this idea of a New York, intellectual, well-read, well-traveled life.
Rafael de Cardenas Studio / Architecture At Large began in 2006 as a small architect's office in Chinatown. Twelve years later, the studio is still based in New York and works internationally. Specialized in interior design, they provide services within design and interiors, art advisory, and furniture design.
Architecture at Large designs and creates bespoke furniture and objects which are specifically crafted for each project. They collaborate with a trusted team of skilled artisans and master craftsmen, allowing them to employ an extensive range of materials, techniques and specialist finishes for an unparalleled result.
The project’s pictures unveil one of the apartments in New York City's iconic building, The Belnord. Designed in 1908 by the architectural firm Hiss and Weekes, it was recently renovated by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and it is among the largest residences located in the Upper West Side in New York.
In April 2018, the interior designer Rafael de Cárdenas and his studio Architecture at Large entrusted Jouffre to hand make of all the curtains, sheers and shades of the model apartment that he designed.
