Paris Déco Home 2023

When they first launched the Paris Déco Home event in 2020, organizers Carole Locatelli and Hugues Charuit were keen to bring together international brands with influencers from all walks of life, such as decorators and designers, as well as the general public. For this 3rd edition, our Lyon-based workrooms joined forces with the French Craft Upholsterers’ label Artisans Tapissiers de France (ATF) to present its upholstery and loose furnishing creations in an ephemeral showroom at the heart of the capital.

Staged in the prestigious venue of the Hôtel de l’Industrie in Paris, the scenography brought together major names in French craftsmanship and their works from different periods. It featured a collection of contemporary chairs such as the " Genia " chair, the " Cetus " ottoman or the " Izar " sofa, designed by the Nantes-based studio Muaje, or a Napoleon III upholstered armchair in velvet from the Arts du Siège workrooms. Our craftsmen presented the « Sully » sofa, accessorized with its striking decorative "chamallow" cushions. A must-have creation by the Lyon-based architectural duo Lally & Berger. Another eye-catcher was a « Poppy » beech wood screen fashioned by the Ireale workrooms especially for this scenography.

To adorn the windows of the showcase, our upholsterers had the honor and the privilege of collaborating with Nobilis, which donated glorious fabrics to conjure up 2 large pairs of drapes with so-called " têtes Orgues " and " têtes Douvres ". The latter are hung with visible decorative rings and feature geometric patterns in shades of orange and green. " We worked as a team on this project and played with different materials such as velvet to achieve the desired effect with these drapes. To see our work exhibited in such an exceptional setting is a wonderful recognition for our profession " shares Julia, upholsterer in our Lyon workrooms.

It is thanks to this common passion for art and crafts, and more particularly for the upholstery profession, that we have the opportunity to add our unique living heritage hallmark to such a beautiful and inspirational project. We would like to thank our colleagues, our partners, Nobilis and the ATF label for this 2023 edition.
