Palais Brongniart

The historic Palais Brongniart, formerly known as the Paris Bourse, was turned into an event venue by GL Events, a major event planning company.

Three years ago, French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte called on Jouffre to fabricate the window treatment for the Salon Club and Salon d’Honneur.

This year, it is GL Events’ turn to entrust Jouffre artisans with the fabrication of four pairs of drapes for the Syndic office windows, in a Pierre Frey navy blue fabric.

Among the most difficult tasks faced by Lyon seamstresses not only there was the window height (16 feet each), but also the arched shape of the windows. That detail required from the seamstresses extra meticulous and precise work on the drape headings to ensure they would fit perfectly the shape of the windows.
